Make these changes in your home directory...


  1. In your ~/.mime.types file (you may have to create one of these) add the line:
    audio/vss aud
  2. In your ~/.mailcap file (you probably have this) add the line:
    audio/vss; /CDROM/COMUNITY/AUDIONAV/BIN/VSSPLAY %s
    .
    This line must be added BEFORE any other line that starts with:
    audio/*
  3. Exit this program (the browser) and restart it so that it loads in the new configuration.
(If you see upper-case filenames on this CD-ROM instead of lower-case filenames, take out the "notranslate" flag in /etc/fstab (as root). If you don't know what this means, all is probably well. Also make sure your CD-ROM is mounted as /CDROM, as usual.)

Editors note: all filenames have been translated to upper case.
